Listening to Munich after watching Black Sunday

Happy birthday, Maestro! Here's a newspaper clipping I found online this afternoon from the 50s (I think): I like the first sentence: "Someday the words 'Music by Johnny Williams' will flash on your local theater screen."

A bit late to the party, as I was working a deadline today, just wanted to raise my glass here, too, to celebrate the love (yes, I'm quoting Ewoks). Earlier today, I span a few discs in tribute to the maestro, including his latest, which lifted my spirits, followed by the most recent msmx-magic remastering of the mighty JAWS, which blew me away all over again. 'Man Against Beast' stands alone as one cue I cannot ever just let play, it grabs me and shakes me. What a glorious score. I recently posted a blog about the day that I received that LP, and why it remains my favorite, something I wrote for some friends on the 10th anniversary of the film, and I thought it might be fun to offer here as a birthday party favor: http://bit.ly/SSFSJaws Quoting "Empire of the Sun": Exultate Justi!
