Hip Hooray indeed. No other composer has meant as much to me in my life, and that doesn't only extend to a love of his music, but very much to who and what I am today.

Same here. Even during the many tragedies in my life, I always found his music soothing in some way. And now that everything's well I just love it even more. It's like he's always been there. And to write a score like TFA at his age, well...words fail me. Congrats maestro! You always were, are and will be the greatest. Happy Birthday!

I never gravitated toward any particular music style until I heard Williams' Imperial March. After that, filmusic was everything. John William doesn't know me from a hole in the ground, nor does he know the extent of my gratitude for, and awe of, his contribution to music and, in a broader sense, humanity. So I guess I'll just have to eat all this cake myself.

Happy Birthday, Johnny baby.

Ah, happy birthday to Mr Williams.

My God, this man has brought me such joy over the years with his music.

JAWS is on my playlist today. For me, still possibly his best score ever, and "Man Against Beast" just might be my favorite score cue of all time.
