Very happy that Estate Violenta + La Prima Notte di Quiete is a 2 CD set, and Estate Violenta is 65 minutes. I already have the Japanese CD of La Prima Notte di Quiete so at least there is 1 new full CD here.
Il Magnifico Tony Carrera is nearly 75 minutes, though this is already a "holy grail" foe me as people call it here, even without expansion.
Il Profumo della Signora in Nero is also significantly expanded to the Beat CD, and with a cover that will please Giallo collectors.
Now I wish someone would take care of releasing Sbatti il mostro in prima pagina (1972) by Piovani.
IL MAGNIFICO TONY CARRERA is a superb discovery as far as I'm concerned. I especially like the way Marchetti used the voices, the sitar, etc. The more I play the music of this colmposer and the more I like it. I also purchased the Nascimbene item and like it as well. Regarding LA PRIMA NOTTE DI QUIETE, I must say I'm rather puzzled by the fact that either the CD credits or the liner notes mention that the main theme is quoted straight from the very well-known Largo from Antonio Vivaldi recorder concerto, RV 443. Just listen to it and compare it with Nascimbene's jazz treatment achieved for Zurlini's movie:
It seems Zurlini was fond of Baroque music since Goffredo Petrassi plagiarized Albinoni's Adagio in g minor (the world famous piece that was actually written by the musicologist Remo Giazotto, as it turns out) in CRONACA FAMILIARE.
