This Wednesday DRAGON’S DOMAIN RECORDS distributed by Buysoundtrax.com will be releasing two new titles:
The first is a reissue of a classic World War I epic from the 1980’s that has been long out of print, with luck we’ll be offering Composer Autographed booklets on this one
The second title is a classic fantasy score also from the 80’s, It went out of print very quickly, it’s coming back and the Composer will be autographing booklets for sure on this one.
LIGHTHORSEMEN is certainly one of the best scores ever !! And now since BSX seem to be releasing some Aussie-Goodies I am hoping for MAN FROM HONG KONG. The other sounds like BEASTMASTER.
When I saw this I kind of wondered if the fantasy might be Red Sonja, but the idea that Morricone would be doing autographed editions of that just seemed too fantastical to be true.
"The Lighthorsemen" has been out of print for YEARS, currently on AMAZON US copies are going for $50.00 or more.
I understand. But I said what I said for a reason. For a very long time it was going for ridiculous prices on the used market, and yet 1M1 Records was still selling copies at retail price. http://www.1m1.com.au/detail.asp?p=146 I see that that is no longer the case.
Hmmm... I compare track-lists for new & old edition of Beastmaster and have only one question about last track on disc 2. Quartet Records Edition: 21. The Battle on the Pyramid (Film Version) (06:42) Dragon's Domain Edition: 21. 21. The Beastmaster (Concert Suite) (7:31) Seems that it's not the same track or am I wrong? Dear Ford, can you solve this mystery?

The Battle on the Pyramid (Film Version) (06:42) was moved back to the soundtrack album portion on disc #1 at Mr. Holdridge's request.
The Concert Suite is the one that Lee had recorded wit the LSO conducted by Charles Gerhardt back in the 80's, which we also included at Lee Request.
Ok, I just ordered Beastmaster and am hoping I am lucky enough to get a signed copy. It would be my first signed and I LOVE Holdridge. Fingers crossed.
