Hey guys! So I listened to Age of Ultron's soundtrack a few times, and... don't you love it when the tracklist doesn't follow the movie at all? [MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD, JUST IN CASE] The title appearance, then the end credits theme, then the film's opening sequence, then a death scene, then The Vision's birth... I'm trying to figure out what the tracklist would be in chronological order, but... could you guys give me a hand? The original tracklist is: 01 - The Avengers: Age of Ultron title => title appearance 02 - Heroes => doesn't appear in the movie, New Avengers theme 03 - Rise together => em... not sure 04 - Breaking and entering => I think it's the second song in the movie after "It begins" 05 - It begins => Definitely the opening song, starting with the usual variation of the Marvel fanfare 06 - Birth of Ultron => not sure either 07 - Ultron / Twins => ? 08 - Hulkbuster 09 - Can you stop this thing? => the scene when they stop the train in Seoul 10 - Sacrifice => Quicksilver's death 11 - Farmhouse 12 - The vault => ? 13 - The mission => when they get ready for the final fight 14 - Seoul searching => not exactly sure 15 - Inevitability / One good eye => I've read that this one doesn't appear in the film, but... I'm pretty sure I heard it 16 - Ultron wakes => I guess, when he shows up during the party in the broken armor 17 - The Vision => The Vision's birth, I think 18 - The battle => ? 19 - Wish you were here => not sure 20 - The farm => not sure if it plays after or before "The farm" 21 - Darkest of intentions => ? 22 - Fighting back => not sure 23 - Avengers unite => the tracking shot around the core when they all fight together 24 - Keys to the past => ? 25 - Uprising => ? 26 - Outlook => the Helicarrier shows up around 1mn25, so, final fight scene 27 - The last one => well, that one's obvious 28 - Nothing lasts forever => New S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, ending scene 29 - New Avengers => ending scene + 3D part of the credits, right before the stinger So the chronological order would be smoething like: - It begins - Breaking and entering - AoU title - Birth of Ultron - Ultron wakes - Hulkbuster - Farmhouse before or after The farm, not sure - Seoul searching before or after Can you stop this thing? - The Vision - The mission - Outlook - Avengers unite - The last one - Nothing lasts forever - New Avengers

Just listened to the soundtrack this way, it's so much better than the mess they released on CD. Turns out it's a great soundtrack in my opinion. Thanks! Most Brian Tyler scores play better in chronological order

Weird thing is that the CD lists "Inevitability-One Good Eye" as not appearing in the film. The beginning of the track (most likely the 'Inevitability' cue, 0:00-1:04) appears in the film when Stark and Banner are bringing Vision to life, beginning at about 1:30:32 into the film. That's why I placed it at that point in the list. Another part of the track (1:41-2:15) appears later in the film at 1:48:27, when Scarlet Witch starts destroying the Ultron robots and saves Hawkeye (so it would go between 'The Battle' and 'Outlook'). So you'd have to splice up the track if you want to have the music at exactly the right spots. The rest of the track I'm not sure about yet, parts of it could appear somewhere in the film or were meant for deleted scenes. The 'Keys to the Past' track was most likely meant for the deleted "Norn Cave" scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkrmLBeqfXg I tried it with the scene and it works rather well. If it's meant for that scene, the track would go after 'Farmhouse' in the list.
