Love Dudley's thriller work, so very much looking forward to this (and the film, of course!).

Soundtrack coming from Sony Classical on September 16th!
https://www.amazon.fr/Elle-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B01KJ331FS/

Well for some reason no one had this in stock upon it's release date. Amazon (in all countries) seemed to say they would ship in 1 to 2 months. I found it very odd.

Then suddenly it was in stock at Amazon.com so I ordered it off my wishlist. It wasn't until today when I read Scott Bettencourt's Film Score Friday column that I see it is another of Sony Classical's CD-R on Demand titles. S.O.B.!

If I had known I would have waited and tried to get a pressed copy from another country although none seem to have it in stock yet.

After the shitty trailer I'm surprised to see such excellent reviews for this movie. Can't wait to see it.

The score's pretty good -- no Basic Instinct, but better than I'd have expected for a thriller score from Dudley. I've only spun it once, looking forward to giving it another go soon.

His Hollywood efforts are wellknown to most people (and great!), but I recommend people to check out his earlier Dutch works.

That's for sure. I enjoy his American output to varying degrees (adore Basic Instinct, RoboCop, and Flesh + Blood; still haven't bothered to see Showgirls), but his Dutch films are much more consistent in terms of quality. Soldaat van Oranje, Keetje Tippel, and Zwartboek are great movies.

The film is terrific; almost like Paul Verhoeven doing an Almodovar film, with all its perverse plot twists and heightened melodrama. Dudley's score is solid on album, but works beautifully in the film.

Too bad as it is very close to his Dutch movies.

SHOWGIRLS is brilliant! A masterpiece that never got its due, despite being re-discovered in recent years as the brilliant piece of satire that it is.

Sorry but I thought this feature was awful. Extremely uninteresting character development about insane people. Too long and for reason I can't understand universally praised. Disgusting and boring movie.

Anne Dudley's score was fine but nothing to get excited about. Sometimes it resemble to Jerry Goldsmith's moods for Paul Verhoeven films.

That's OK. It's somehow extra comforting to know that it's a polarizing film, even if I am on the completely opposite side of your opinion.
