Ok, we have the crappy official cd release with the 2 cues of original score and the rest period songs... "Band of Brothers", got the royal soundtrack treatment by comparison..Is there any hope of the wonderful scores by the various composers from "Moon" being released anytime soon?
WHY was this high-profile HBO mini-series scored by several wonderfully talented composers, only to have a "Compilation Of Top-40 Hits CD" released as its soundtrack???
Like you, I am still awaiting release of the SCORES...
Chris, I am sooo into this!!! We need to have this released!! Especially Kamen's score to the first episode, the one with Alan Shepard and "re-entry"!! Was that great music, or what??
You can write directly to Michael Kamen and ask him about this via his website. I wrote him a couple months ago about BAND OF BROTHERS, and received a nice reply and he also sent me upon request, and autographed photo. A real gentleman and native New Yorker who lives in England.
The series really deserves better representation on disc than it got! I was shocked that the cd was what it was..I hope eventually, someone will wake up and see that not releasing these scores would be tragic..Natrebo is correct, that Mason Daring score, I can't praise it enough..Or, that particular installment..The entire effort was extraordinary..
Still hopeful this might happen one day, after all we've seen less likely scores released.
There was some wonderful music in this series and it really would make a tremendous set. What we need now is MV to come along with one of his smiley winks lol.
