According to the news at the top of the La La Land Records website, "The Cape" is going out of print on 12/31/15, and it's on sale for a mere $5. I agree with Schiffy's post above that it's not McCreary's best work... IMO it's somewhat 'experimental' in his use off such instruments as the hurdy-gurdy, which he's perfected in later works like "Black Sails." Anyway, consider picking up "The Cape" while you can!

There's nothing especially wrong with "The Cape." It's just that if I want to hear that side of McCreary (minus the annoying carnival instruments), I'd much rather listen to "Human Target" or even "Agents of SHIELD."

Anybody who likes McCreary at all and doesn't buy the 2-disc The Cape for only $5 is...well...a loon! Really good music; the homage to Shirley Walker comes through.

The Cape for $5 is a bargain not to be missed. Human Target and Dark Void Zero are also great

Not a fan of Europa Report and some other recent bits.

-BSG- Esp the Sea 2 & 3 albums.

-The Europa Report (more of those string ostinatos).

-The Caprica 2-CD series album (stronger, I think, than the pilot album).
