Our fourth release is a very special one, for obvious reasons.

Twenty years ago James Horner wrote one of his finest scores. Now, we present to you this definitive edition

BRAVEHEART: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) LLLCD 1375
Music by James Horner
Limited Edition of 3000 Units
RETAIL PRICE: $29.98

La-La Land Records, Icon Productions, Paramount Pictures and Universal Music Special Markets proudly celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the 1995 historical epic BRAVEHEART with an expanded and remastered 2-CD limited edition release of renowned composer James Horner’s (ALIENS, GLORY, SEARCHING FOR BOBBY FISCHER, TITANIC) original motion picture score. The 1995 Best Picture winner, starring Mel Gibson, Sophie Marceau and Patrick McGoohan, and directed by Mel Gibson, continues to endure today as a cinematic landmark and Mr. Horner’s indelible, Oscar-nominated score ranks among his finest – thrilling, dramatic, romantic - expertly supporting and advancing plot, character and heartfelt emotion in equal measure. Produced by Dan Goldwasser and Mike Matessino, and mastered by Matessino from Paramount vault elements, this 2-CD expanded presentation has a total running time of nearly 2 hours and 10 minutes and contains previously unreleased music, as well as source music tracks and additional alternate cues. Exclusive, in-depth liner notes from writer Jeff Bond, featuring new interview comments from director/star Mel Gibson, and bold art direction from Jim Titus complement this deluxe release, marking this classic film’s anniversary and composer James Horner’s rich legacy. This limited edition release of 3000 units is dedicated to James Horner’s memory.

A lovely end to a very sad year for us James Horner fans. It just feels bittersweet to be honest.

This is such a special release, that couldn't come at a more perfect time. Thank you, La-La Land Records.

I had no idea there was so much missing music. Can't wait to hear it. Looks like about 35 minutes of unreleased music (approximately -- couldn't determine how much unreleased music was in the alternate "Sons of Scotland" on disc 2).

And by my boots I cannot wait to hear the complete "Main Titles" including logos without having to hear that annoying dialogue!

I am presuming there is no dialogue on this release... wink

Incredible release!

After twenty years of waiting and hoping I have to ask; is "The Princess Was A Pawn/Wallace Moves Again" that glorious unreleased cue just after the Wallace/Princess love scene?

I'm in with Deputy about finally getting the logo and main titles without dialogue.

Of the 5 new La La Land releases, this is probably the one I'm most interested in.
Even though I already have vol 1 & 2 of this score, to have the whole thing put together all neat and tidy like, with some extras AND that gorgeous alt film version of For The Love Of A Princess (or is it Pleads For Wallace's Life, I canna remember).
Anyway, this is the pick of the bunch for me.

I never owned the previous version(s) so this will be a first time buying experience (same with Dances With Wolves, and the Pagemaster). Can't wait!

I've never really warmed to this score...even the previous album seemed interminable at nearly 80 minutes, so two full hours seems especially bloated. I just remember Lukas tearing the SHIT out of it (and the movie) back in the FSM print days. Pass (but hooray for those who wanted it).

And the Kaplans, one of whom choked on their tuna fish sandwich during a string drone. That odd image still stays with me....I don't care, I like this score, I'm having it.

Well done on the track split between disc one and two. "Falkirk" is a great opening track for the second disc.

Well we all know that shitting on James Horner scores was THE thing to do in the magazine's glory days so is that really surprising to anyone?

It was like a hobby and for many it still is.
