This is a Grail. One of my all time Horner favorites. Take my money now!

I think this is the one no-one saw coming! smile La La Land said that there was a Horner title, originally set for August, which was delayed. I'd imagine that was Braveheart. They kept tight-lipped about there being another in the pipeline!

Apart from the alternate tracks, there was only 2 MINUTES of music missing from the original release!?
Wow. I always thought there was a lot more missing, but then, the film was pretty short.

Seven extra minutes or so of music total.
The main reason for getting this is that it should have much better sound -- the original is pretty 'pinched'.

This is a most welcomed release for those of us who've never owned it before. Thanks LLL!

Is this the album presentation with additional music or recording sessions? I ask because the original OST had music not heard in the film.

Believe it or not, I've never heard this score before!

I'll be buying the new edition for sure, and can't wait to hear it!

It's epic! No pun intended. Horner got to explore many musical genre's in one score. Horror, Pirate, Fantasy, Action Adventure.

A great score from James Horner with the LSO & chorus that was OOP.
Can't wait to hear for the remastering. The 2 min of additional music in the main program is just the cherry on the cake.
Thanks!

Unless the new mastering is REALLY great, I'll pass...less than six minutes' worth of new music is not enough to entice me to lay down a sawbuck on an album that was apparently almost complete to begin with.

Great score, though..."Adventure" is one of Horner's best themes.

I guess it`s great for the people who didn`t have that wonderful score so far.

I have the CD and I've always considered it to be a pleasant, watered-down, simplified Krull, with its dark side largely replaced by a sugar coating. I never feel the need to play this one when Krull does everything better. The sound on the earlier CD was only average though, so the new one should enhance it.

Listening to the original 1994 Fox Records/Arista Records CD of THE PAGEMASTER right now which sounds wonderful recorded by the amazing Shawn Murphy.
I guess I won`t get the new CD because of 2 additional minutes.
But I am happy for everyone who didn`t own the CD previously.

This is one of the first scores that I heard the dreaded G word (ghostwriters) about, so I just kinda walked away from it.

Thanks Shaun.
I didn't want to be the first to mention Don Davis and Co.
But their presence is deffo there.

Mastering is not a huge departure from the original issue. This release was more about getting it back in print again and adding the unreleased bits while we were at it. Great art and notes now as well.
