That's been stuck in my head for the past couple days. I almost wish that was in the actual score. Would it have been cheesy? Yes. And cheese is delicious.
I've seen this movie twice now and can't wait to Giacchino's score on disc, it's infectious and engaging throughout! I love much of Giacchino's music, although I don't always warm to his Pixar work, maybe cause while I like the Pixar movies I never revisit them, but in this case Incredibles 2 is incredible!
Servo,
Maybe revisit the first Incredibles? It’s pretty similar to this one, plus it has the great Dash action cue.
The CD version does NOT contain the 4 acapella tracks from the online/streaming version! The CD version just ends at track 32.
This is annoying because it makes the CD 68 minutes long; The online version with the 4 extra tracks is only 75 minutes long, so the CD could have EASILY held this stuff. STUPID!
I thought the film was very good, much better than recent Pixar sequels, although the story is of similar ground as the first one - "Toy Story 2" will remain the perfect Pixar sequel that really pushed the story to new directions. So if the main plot is rather predictable and accessory, the movie shines everywhere else in all the character moments, scene-stealing fun bits, global pacing, exciting while clear action sequences that imaginative writer/director Brad Bird is rightly famous for.
The score seems of the same clothes as the first one - worked great. More of the same sure, and more Barry Bondism (I thought I even heard the "007" intro in the Hypnotist's lair), I'll definitely check this one (which is more than I can say than for "Fallen Kingdom").
