Well, I finally received my copy today! I'm very happy with it. I just played THE PROUD AND PROFANE and FOREVER FEMALE. Both are superb Victor Young scores, he sure had a wonderful gift for melody. The main titles to both films are very impressive, a lost art in recent years. I've especially always wanted THE PROUD AND PROFANE, never thought I would have it. I hope this sells well and we will see VICTOR YOUNG VOL. 3!
Thank you Bruce!
This December has been a wonderful time for fans of golden age scores from Paramount movies from two great labels, Kritzerland and Intrada. If you have ordered one and not the other then you are definitely missing something. I wasn't expecting much from FOREVER FEMALE, but it is a total delight to hear again and again. More Victor Young scores should be in Kritzerland's capable hands. Here's hoping we see VICTOR YOUNG VOLUMES 3 and 4 in the not too distant future.
Listening to FOREVER FEMALE at this very moment - all I can tell is THANK YOU, BRUCE and ... Merry Christmas from Austria
Just listening to this now (catching up on a back-log of CDs to be listened to!). What a fabulous anthology. Typically melodious material from Victor Young and a superb audio quality given the ages of the scores.
Thanks Bruce...and well done on another super production. And glad to see that it is selling well despite your earlier fears!

I'm enjoying both VICTOR YOUNG VOLS. 1 and 2!
Sure hope Bruce will be able to issue Vols. 3 and 4!
Not sure if it's a topic that has come up elsewhere, but I love the 2 volumes of Victor Young at Paramount. I know you said once there was enough material for a vol. 3 and 4. Have the first 2 sold well enough that you would produce those additional volumes?
