MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16

THE WALKING DEAD---Norman Reedus commented on the possibility of Glenn being alive after a scene in the latest episode where someone yelled "Help!" on a walkie talkie, "It's not Glenn. But it's probably somebody at Alexandria with all we know that's happening there."
He also commented on fan speculation that Glenn is alive and hiding under the dumpster, "I saw what I saw [in the episode]! You can make theories this way or that way but what ever you see is right. So what ever your take on that is, you saw what you saw and you're reacting to what you saw."

GAME OF THRONES---Ian McShane (DEADWOOD) commented on his appearance in Season 6, "It's a one-off episode, that's why I did it. I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you're never going to see again. I'll leave it at that." McShane appears to be referring to Jon Snow returning since Kit Harington has been seen on the set in Ireland, but Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) and Rory McCann (Sandor Clegane) have also been spotted on the set.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS---JJ Abrams commented on the Starkiller Base, an ice planet that can destroy entire solar systems, which has replaced the Death Star as the ultimate superweapon, “It is very much — and it’s acknowledged as such in the movie — apparently another Death Star. But what it’s capable of, how it works, and what the threat is, is far greater than what the Death Star could have done. Starkiller Base is another step forward, technologically speaking, in terms of power.”
Also, a new promotion video showed Harrison Ford talking to Billie Lourd, daughter of Carrie Fisher, C-3PO and Admiral Ackbar from RETURN OF THE JEDI.

ALIEN: COVENANT---Ridley Scott said ALIEN: COVENANT has replaced ALIEN: PARADISE LOST as the new sequel's title, "I was going to be doing what will be called ALIEN: COVENANT which starts shooting next February, and we were struggling then with the screenplay there and then there was a phone call, somebody saying, 'Listen, we've got this thing which is completely written called '[The] MARTIAN and I said, 'Huh.' And I sped read it in an hour and by mid-afternoon, I talked to Fox and said, 'I need to talk to Drew [Goddard]…" Apparently PARADISE LOST was the sequel's working title.

ANT-MAN & THE WASP---Michael Douglas said he's in negotiations to return for the sequel, "I just got a call recently – they want to negotiate for a sequel and I thought 'That's great!' Hopefully, I won't have to carry quite as much expositional dialogue as the first one but I had a wonderful time doing it. Just a great, great time.
The cast was fantastic. Paul, Evangeline, Michael Pena – I'm sure he'll be back. If they can scrape Corey Stoll off the wall, I'm sure they'll want him too – he's such a good villain. And Peyton too. It was a lovely experience, so you know, I welcome it."

JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE---a source said Mera, Queen of Atlantis and Aquaman's wife, will appear in the movie.

DOCTOR STRANGE---martial arts actor Scott Adkins has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

FRONTIER---Jason Momoa (GAME OF THRONES) stars in this new Canadian series about the wealth and power of 18th fur trading in North America. Brad Peyton (SAN ANDREAS) will direct the first two episodes. It will be shown on Discovery and Netflix.

WICKED CITY---ABC cancelled the series after only three episodes had aired.

"If bigger is better than biggest is best!"

Ugh.

Please bring back Michael Douglas and Christope Beck!

Seconded! Michael Douglas getting cast as Hank Pym was one of the more successful attempts at bringing an "elder statesman" who'll provide gravitas--and fine acting chops--to a super-hero movie in a key role. Douglas was superb in ANT-MAN.

Oh, and of course Christophe Beck's score was outstanding.

As I suspected a remake of Star Wars. Its bad enough we get endless sequels and reboots, now their just remaking the same story lines over and over again.

Perhaps you should focus your blame toward the Evil Empire for remaking a bigger Death Star...

Or, maybe just wait until we actually SEE the movie. Ya know, so, maybe we'd have an idea of what we're actually talking about .

I know, I know, it is kind of an outrageous, wacky idea. big grin

Let's not forget that Return of the Jedi did it first.

It is for Solium. He'd rather make negative remarks about every new film as it isn't on a par with a 30-odd year old Star Trek movie in his opinion.

Judging from the remarkable box office success it has always enjoyed--even the piss-poor prequel films--one would never think that a Star Wars movie could ever be "bad." I don't think Star Wars fans are the only fan base that throws money at even the worst offering of anything with the Star Wars label attached; despite their criticisms of every last detail in the movies, they're still the most optimistic and blindly loyal fans out there.

What made you think it wasn't? I suspect the only truly "new" aspect of nuWars will be the effects.
