Wintory joins Kyd, Balfe, Tyler, Phillips, Derivière, Alexandrova, Tilton, Schachner and probably others I'm forgetting as a composer for an Assassin's Creed game.
This is probably the worst Assassin's Creed music I've heard. Why they chose to go with this guy I have no idea. His music is absolutely boring.
Derivière gave us the best music of the series.
Huh? I'm not very far into the music but it is so far one of the most interesting I've heard from the series. Maybe I'll change my tune later. Yes it is more classical than previous works but that is why I tend to enjoy it more.
EDIT: After going through the whole score I certainly don't think it has any memorable themes that I noticed but it does have an interesting chamber style like Wintory has been using in a lot of his recent music. I really don't like most of the songs included but the rest of the score does have a style that I like to it.
It's the weakest AC score to my ears, but I love the quote of Rogue's theme in "Family." Overall, tt works well within the game I suppose (A for effort), but would have benefitted from a more Sherlock Holmes-esque sound. The Fry's need a strong theme.
