Personally, I'd much rather see a reissue of a much harder to find Shore/Cronenberg collabo, "Spider", which only got a soundtrack release in France if I'm not mistaken. Found this a while back to have a listen but i have to say i was disappointed. Just couldn't connect with any of the score and i was glad i hadn't forked out the hefty sums for the current cd. Always loved VIDEODROME and still often play it. Loved the track 'a slow burn' which doesn't seem to be anywhere in the film ( well...the first part of it) Spook, I just fired off an email to your address posted in your profile. Let me know what you think.

Waiting for what? Noisy soundtrack, the soundtrack from videodrome is unlistenable, want it for nostalgia souvenir ? It's definitely not noise but it is a different kind of score and fits perfectly into that film. I can't imagine any other film score working there.

I noticed when I was listening to this CD in my OPPO Blu player it listed the HDCD logo for the format. I have to admit the audio sounds great. Yeah, not sure it needs an expanded or remastered release (is there music missing that I'm unaware of?) but it definitely should be reissued officially. You're right - it does sound pretty damn good.

It needs to be re-done. A straight re-issue would include the puzzling dialogue, (not from the film), and sound effects on the opening track. I could do without those on a re-issue. There is some music that was not released, and quite a bit of source music that is detailed in another FSM thread somewhere.
