Listening to the alternates now and holy cow is the 2nd alternate of Western Union all sorts of epic! The way it builds into the Back to the Future main title is just brilliant! The alternate's of I'm Back are interesting. It sounds like he was trying to stay away from reusing the Back to Back ending tune again. I like the film version better in the end. The alternate of The West is interesting as well, I like how the track ends.

Yeah, I wonder if the original Part III trailer had the title over a shot of the Old West, the desert or something at one point.

That would have been pretty cool. I'm willing to bet it was something exactly like that, the piece certainly would fit it. Intrada really out did themselves on this release. I'm waiting to get Part III in the mail so I can finally sit all three releases next to each other.

All in all I'd have to say this release is everything it claims to be and then some. I really love how Silverstri built on the theme's from the first film, something I don't hear as much these days. I want to do a best of CD from all three films.

My purse is pretty empty at the moment, so I'm going to hope to get this (and/or Part III) for Christmas this year.

Does anyone else notice what sounds like a split-second "flutter" in the playback of Track 20, "I'm Back/End Logo", in the middle of its forty-seventh second?

It sounds like the music....jerks. I never would have noticed it without someone pointing it out but now it definetly sounds a bit off and isn't present on the alternate version of 'End Logo'.

Yeah, my first copy from Intrada came with a scratch so they were kind enough to replace it, and I noticed this brief waver on both CDs, so I just wanted to rule out my player as an issue. Bummer, because it's otherwise such an amazing, everything-we-love-from-this-score cue.

Just listened to it several times and also checked it in Audition and to me it looks and sounds like a trumpet 3 seconds early.
It doesn't bother me BUT now I know it's there... :/

Well, poo on that trumpet player because he/she marred an otherwise stellar track.

CORRECTION!!
It's supposed to be there...
IT IS present in the alternative version of "End Logo" and it is also in the movie smile
Just checked everything and it even appears in other tracks containing the title (just different).

Soooooo we can rest easy big grin
