Has anyone noticed a flaw on track #10, "There Is No Bridge / Doc To the Rescue" ?

It's the right channel from ~28.5 seconds to ~29.5 seconds, right at the start of the "Doc To The Rescue" portion. It sounds like a rapid 'ticking'/'zipping' sound, but it's not there on the original 1990 release (Track #12).

I can't see anything obvious when looking at the waveforms, and it's not a result of a bad rip; I can hear it while playing the CD...

I hear it, but it doesn't sound like a flaw to me so much as an intended sonic detail brought forth by updated mastering.

I can accept that. Thanks for the reply!

What you describe sounds like a percussion instrument to me, or possibly a harp gliss.
And I hear a distant 'tap' (single) that sounds like someone accidentally hit their instrument at the exact moment there was a second of silence.

Thank you for the insight, TerraEpon.

Gosh, no-one has posted in this topic in over five years.

Anyway, has this now gone out of print? Searching on Varese's site, or going to the URL for the CD doesn't find anything.

...some people on Discogs have got copies for sale if you're willing to pay over forty quid...

No, it's OK. I've got a copy. In fact, through a mistake on my part, I own two copies (one copy is still factory sealed). I was just wondering if it was out of print so that I could now put my sealed copy on ebay and make a large amount of moolah. big grin

Have you considered keeping it for collection purposes? I bought two copies of the Drop Zone release to keep one sealed because the score has a huge sentimental value to me. To each their own obviously.
