Sounding quite low key, but interesting. 27 minutes playing time is a little on the short side though.

Stephen Lipson also involved.

Anyone who bought this?

There's been plenty of exciting, under-the-radar synth-driven scores this year that are NOT by Zimmer, but I'm still curious about anything he comes up with. I'll definitely check this out.

Did anyone buy this? I'm reading Marr's autobiography these days, and I kept thinking of this.

Yes, it's very good. Not awesome, but some great tracks, "Remembering" is my favorite. It's got a really wonderful, pleasant sound.

Anyone dig this score? Anyone seen the film?

I just watched it the other day and it left me in a puddle of tears. It moved me to my absolute core. So sad but so triumphant and powerful at the same time. Zimmer and Marr's music was definitely one of the most important aspects of the film's emotional impact in my experience. I love Zimmer as a composer and have loved his music for decades; he has moved me with his beautiful music countless times, but never before has he tapped so directly into my core as with this music (again, credit to Marr as well).

In my opinion, Zimmer's music for Freeheld is the most emotionally powerful and resonant music he's ever written for film - and that's saying something.

The scene towards the end where Julianne Moore is wheeled into the courthouse at her last appearance and all of her police coworkers finally show up to support her and cheer her on...holy shit that scene, bolstered significantly by the score, just wrecked me. I mean guys and gals that was a truly perfect blend of music and image to create an unforgettable movie music and filmgoing experience.

It wasn't the track "Remembering" that played exactly over that scene, but that same melody is in that scene. Even though it wasn't technically "Remembering" that played over that scene I referred to, it was more or less the same cue. The final official track was comprised of that material.

I haven't seen the film but I absolutely dig the score! It is quite emotional even in itself, without the pictures. So I can imagine how it adds to the pictures!

Great feedback here. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. The Youtube clip above was good (although it didn't blow me away upon first listen).

The track is "The Decision." Although I don't think that scene had the drum sequences like the album.
