After 22 years away from scoring feature films, it looks like Lewis is scoring 2016's $35,000,000 "Refugee: Eye of the Beautiful" for director Kevin Connor, better known for those old Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptations from the 70's. Let's hope this actually goes somewhere and sees the light of day!

Let's hope he's given money for an orchestra and we'll get a revisitation of that sweeping, wonderful sound of his that's been so-long missed. I'm thrilled at the prospect of a new score from him not only because I miss his voice, but also because his dreadful keyboard-'n-sax porn-sounding score to 1994's abysmal DEADLY TARGETS must be the single biggest "gifted composer stooping to an all-time-low" in cinema history and I'd love to see him finish his career with something more worthy of the man's talents.

Indeed - Let's keep our fingers crossed. I know John Scott also has three or four films attached to his upcoming credits that haven't changed their status in years and likely aren't happening anymore, so who knows...

Bigger than Richard Band? big grin

Still, the thought of a new Michael J. Lewis score is truly exciting. (Though I can't help but wonder if this is legit; anyone can edit IMDb, after all.)

All one has to do is to write to Mr. Lewis via his website, www.bluediamondmusic.com and ask him to verify the news. He is also on Facebook and Twitter for any updates on his music.

Good news if true, be great to hear the old maestros work again.

Great news! big grin
His scores to Theatre of Blood and The Island of Adventure are two of my favourites.

Darn tootin - his Medusa Touch is a favourite of mine, and basically it's hard to go wrong with any MJL purchase.

His music is very distinctive and and recognizable that has a particular unique British sound for all of those B suspense films from the 1970s to 1980s, and very different from Barry, Roy Budd, and John Scott. I just wish he continued doing more television mini-series and shows in England and Canada.
