Hubai, is your long interview with Richards still up? I'd visit your blog to find out, but I find that after long times of no updates some bogs get hacked and even jsut going to one lends the possibility of getting infected.

Thanks for that! Favourite quote is proably about the cimbalom - "That's the most bastard keyboard that ever existed." Great.

But it's full of good stuff. Lots of anecdotes about Lalo Schifrin, Jerry Goldsmith, Michael Small... Love his stories about the brilliant HELLSTROM CHRONICLE. And he's played on 2,000 scores! I really like those in-depth articles and interviews which deal with the musicians, the people who are making the noises that the composers have written. When I was 12 years old I didn't even think real people wrote all that film and TV music I was hearing. Then a few years later I realised that real people did write all that stuff. But it was a few years more before it crossed my mind that other real people had to play it.
