The eclipse will begin when the tip of the moon enters the outer portion of the Earth's shadow, starting at about 8:11 p.m. EDT (0011 GMT). The moon will reach complete totality (it will be completely submerged in the darkest part of Earth's shadow) at about 10:47 p.m. EDT (0247 GMT). The eclipse will end at about 1:22 a.m. EDT (0522 GMT).
I'm just TOTALLY FUCKING PISSED... I HAD planned to drive to the Outer Banks this morning to watch the eclipse tonight, spend the night, then climb two of the lighthouses tomorrow before heading back, but it's CLOUDY EVERYWHERE! When I realised there was no fucking way I was going to be able to see it at the coast, I started checking out the weather to the WEST of here... no luck. I'll more than likely be dead by the time the next one happens in 2033.
