Finally, some good news about this movie! Here here! Teddy Shapiro is a terrific composer and I'm really looking forward to this one.

You're joking, man. Why is this a thing????? Everything has to be a slowed-down version now. And if this is a total reboot, why are they reminding people what happened to New York 30 years ago??

I was talking about the shitty slow piano "re-imagining" of the theme, but I suppose I could be talking about the movie as well. I would've been less annoyed about this if it weren't just the same thing as the original movie, only with women. A spin-off, with this same cast, would've been better in my mind.

I'm excited about it. The original films were the cornerstone of my childhood (and my adulthood, to be honest) and having caught up with Feig's output in the last week, I have high hopes. But I agree, the melancholy piano rendition of classic themes in reboot trailers is getting tiresome.

Well Shapiro's music will certainly help, but I'm a little confused as to what this new version is supposed to be. I keep hearing it's a reboot as opposed to a remake, but it sure looks remake-ish to me. I've enjoyed Feig's other comedies though, so if any modern comedy director can handle it well, it would probably be him. If... And by the way, remember the days when movie trailers told you right from the start of the trailer what the movie is called? I can't think of the last time I saw a trailer in which the title wasn't revealed at the last seconds of the trailer, as if it's a mystery we're supposed to figure out.

How they could drag out the overused alleged punchline "That's gonna leave a mark" not just for the movie but the trailer is astonishing to me. I was astonished as well. It was funny in the '80s. Once. I think the first time I heard it was in SpaceBalls.

My theory is that it's an alternate take and something different will be in the film.
