The discussion about Sony's big new box set announced on StarWars.com including the differences between the CD and Digital / Vinyl version is happening over in the thread for that release:

http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&threadID=111929

This is the thread for the Blu-Spec CDs only. And to answer your question about a release in North America, I put links to the US Amazon listings right in the main post of this thread!

What a miss opportunity! Episodes 2 and 3 need to get the treatment that Episode 1 received.

Episodes 1, 2. 3, 4, 5 and 6 need to get the Arista Box set treatment.

"The Making of Star Wars" and other TV documentary scores, and the Star Wars Holiday Special score would make fun bonus tracks.

I am confused by the release of the blu spec CDs from Japan. This one for EMPIRE states 1-CD. Does that mean we get the OST presentation? STAR WARS and JEDI also state 1-CD. Has anyone heard these particular releases yet? Can anyone verify? Very little information seems available...

The blu-spec re-releases are the 1997 2CD RCA programs. The Amazon US listing that say they are 1CD is wrong.
