Lazy, very lazy, and a missed opportunity. Re-releasing yet again those highly variable and now 17 year old masters of the original trilogy for a third or fourth time... Oh well. The Arista will continue to be my goto set, along with the original LPs. What could have been!
The links for EPI 4-6 say they are 1 CD sets. Might be wishful thinking, but how could would it be if the releases were of the original albums. Wouldnt be a total loss if the original doubke LP of ESB was released.

These are Japanese re-issues of 2004 re-issues. Ep.4-6 are 2CDs.

With all these Vinyl re-issue dont be surprised if the ESB comes out. I want the original LP set re-issued.
Are we sure these are coming to North America? The listings say Sony Japan. The Blu-Ray spec for CD has not really become a thing, but I know Japan has adopted it more.
That's too bad, but I'm not surprised Sony wanting to cash in and get what they can. Who knows why they aren't motivated to the release the complete scores. They'd for sure make a hell of a lot more money than with these re-issues.
The Amazon US links still list the label as Sony Japan, so my guess would be these are just listings for the Japanese imports. The ASIN Numbers on the Amazon US site are also the same as the listings on Amazon Japan.

Kinda happy that the entire saga will be out on Lp.
Is anyone going to join me in ordering Star Wars: The Ultimate Soundtrack Edition (10 CD's/1 DVD) on Blu-spec CD2 from CDJapan?
Or will I be able to get the set on Blu-spec CD2 in the States?
Also, has anyone noticed that, according to starwars.com, the CD set is now a direct re-release of the existing Sony CD's now? and that only Star Wars: The Ultimate Vinyl Collection is now slated to have the side/track sequences from the original vinyl releases?
Maybe I won't be getting this set on CD after all. And a box of vinyl is out of the question.
