I hope others will give it a try and not just fluff it off.

I don't have the "excess income" to risk on that, though I did put $14 at risk on The Martian and was not properly remunerated.

I'll continued to give the benefit of doubt to the promoters of this film. Though if I smell overproduction combined with tissue-thin characterization--in much the same manner as The Martian, I shall be utterly merciless in my derision.

I saw a trailer in the cinema, it looked OK, if a bit juvenile, maybe it should have been released in the summer holidays, or over Christmas.

Oh, go give it a try BOAJ. But put your cynicism at the door when you go in. And watch it at a matinee on the weekend, with kids for gosh sakes. Hopefully we can get Solium to go see it as well and see what you non-traditional thinkers...think.

I like the score, but I'll probably pass on the film. Not because of the film itself, but because I'm not much of a "Peter Pan" fan in general.

Okay, well at least you can watch Tomorrowland on Bluray this week.

Heck yeah. Pre-ordered the Blu Ray, and already picked it up this morning from my local Best Buy.

Uh, no Ado. I will not see this movie with children. When I see this movie it shall be for one purpose and one purpose alone: To stimulate the desires inspired by Rooney Mara.

If this "project" fulfills the all-too-often attempted mission of "adding to" the vision of J.M. Barrie's bedtime story, so much the better; but better hands than Joe Wright have attempted this, with mixed-to-disastrous degrees of accomplishment.

You've been warned, and so have I.

I just think Rooney's hot, god help me.

She is very beautiful and in the movie, and she is terrific at the role.
The whole controversy about her race was really idiotic. It is like - she in an actress people, and she did a great job. Joe Wright did just fine casting her and everyone else in the picture.

Yeah - go knock yourself out with your Mara fest in Pan.

Pan Pan'd At the Box office...Over this past weekend..A 150 million dollar film plus 50-100 in ads...Only churned up 15 million. IT scored worst than Josh Dumb Cluck Trank's Craptastic 4.

Pan will be on Blu Ray next week. When a Studio moves a film from one date to another...Sign of a bad film coming...aka Jupiter A-or Descending.

Hollywood and Other major studios around the Globe...Please do not make another Peter Pan Film. You will be wasting your time and money. Never Ever, Ever Never Again.

As much as I think this particular film should not have been made, I don't think it'll be easy for Hollywood not to make another Peter Pan film in the future considering how popular the story is in general. I think it's more likely that Hollywood will simply take a hiatus from Peter Pan films for a few years.

The stupidity of this box office stuff - comparing Fantastic 4 to Pan.

Pan is in another universe of film making, it is actually a good film.

There is no correlation between box office and quality. Some of the biggest success have been awful movies, and some great ones have been utter box office failures, a box office failure does not mean it is a bad movie.

Now now, there are other countries that go to the movies as well. So far the non-US has chipped in...

$25.2m.

Oh.

Saw the film today. Great score. Decent film. And, as a bonus, probably the best 3-D film of the year. Last week, I saw THE MARTIN in 3-D, which added nothing to the film. But PAN makes great use of the extra dimension.

They could perhaps have added an A to the film. That would have helped.
