While it is fantastic, I would really like the entire Pilot episode to have a score release. I really love the music during the “bus incident” when Clark arrives in Metropolis for the first time. I really thought that “the bus incident” cue would be on the commercial release. I also really like the music when Clark elevates from the bed to fix the light globe. How about it? If there is any television music that needs an expansion – it is this.
Do we have enough members here who support this Jay Gruska score? (Jay Gruska – is actually – John Williams’ son-in-law). It’s not John Williams, but it has all the leitmotif’s and thematic material you would expect from a TV series. If you love Star Trek, then you will love this. Please support me by asking for an expansion on this title.
We don’t need 10 CDs to make it epic, as long as it’s a box set with 4 – 5 CDs – it will make me, and a lot of Lois & Clark fans out there – HAPPY! Please don’t let me wait 20 years for this – I will be 60 years old, and my hearing won’t be as good. C’mon La La Land – or – Intrada. Who has the contract with Warner Bros? Please do this!
I would love more music from this series. While the existing album is a good listen, the earlier seasons had more playful jazz music I would love to have.
I like the existing CD a lot, and I collect Superman music. So if a box set came out, it might be one more thing I "have to" buy. And now we have Lost in Space coming up, so I limit what I wish for. Gruska did a great job with that series, though.
I would not mind a box set of this TV score but if that does not happen then I suggest someone release his score to the Christopher Cain movie The Principal.
My album is somewhere in the stax and I keep forgetting to look for it. This thread made me want to hear some clips - and Jay Gruska's site has some nice ones!
It would be great if LLL could do the fantastic music for "The Adventures of Superman" in the right way. There was the first season music on Varese and later the "unofficial" release on Percepto which I've never heard. Especially the Varese could need a remastering and a presentation of the cues without editing.
"Bump" - It has been more than a year now... ...and I am thinking that that these "Superman" based scores need another reminder on how thematically and "catchy" these scores really are!
If only we can get one more CD released! Here is an example of some iconic "unreleased" music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO5w5wmsUCs (the film clip has been stretched out, but it is the music that matters here).
