"Revenge" is temped on Philip Glass, obviously, but a brilliant one, and probably the best cue of the year so far.
I think Pemberton has acknowledged that debt by titling one of the other tracks 'Life out of balance', which is the English translation for (Glass-scored movie) Koyaanisqatsi.
All I can say is that it's the second time this year that this guy has blown me away with his music. I think THE MAN FROM UNCLE was a blast but this one is equally clever in its own way. A cross between Opera, Glass and Jean-Michel Jarre it's a treat from start to finish. They played some of this music at the World Soundtrack Awards and it sounded glorious. Another high point in a year filled with great soundtracks (Wolf Totem, Cinderella, Pan, Far from the madding Crowd and the list goes on...).
