This gorgeous, sad tune by Jerry Van Rooyan from a 1970 Euro film is very much in the vibe of some of Legrand's tunes from this period.

Here it is by Jerry Van Rooyen, mislabeled as "Pin Stripes and Machine Guns" on the Crippled Dick Hot Wax release "Jerry Van Rooyen at 200 Miles Per Hour:"

And here is a nice version by Horst Jankowski, included on the MPS "Snowflakes" compilation:

Great theme! Also reminds me a bit of "Two For the Road" and the early Francis Lai. Very much in that wonderful mode.

Has anybody seen the film?

Never saw the film Also reminds me of Serge Gainsbourg's scores for "Cannabis" and "Manon 70."
