Note the top 15 highest paid TV actors. I don't get why women in movies and TV are whining about equal pay with men. I mean just look at all those female TV actors in the top 15. Uhmm, look very hard.

Joan,

The list does say ACTORS (male). I'm wondering if there is a forthcoming list of highest paid TV actresses. It's possible.

I guess they couldn't call it "Casablanca."

In the Forbes article from which the list came, writer Maggie McGrath notes, ". . . a separate list of highest-paid TV actresses will be published in the coming weeks, while the highest-paid film actors and actresses have already been ranked."

We have the Screen Actors' Guild Awards each and the trophy is called "the actor." Females are always referred to as actors in those award ceremonies. For years, TV and Hollywood have tried to drop the word "actress." Still, thanks for letting me know that there is another list for female actors in TV that will soon be released. It will be interesting to compare the two lists.

Wonder if actors who are still taking bit roles and having to buss tables, etc., to make ends meet ever consider it "Income Inequality"? Do these salaries make them One Percenters?

It's a helluva a thing. wink
I hope this series will continue the behind-the-scenes premise. Although turning the fictional sci-fi series as seen within the film into a real actual series could be fun, I feel it would be a missed opportunity to bring back the cast dynamic that made the film so much fun.

Presumably the Galaxy Quest series will be re-cast, so it might be fun if they can get cameos from the original actors in scenes where they are bemoaning at the fact that they've been re-cast.

If Sigourney Weaver can appear on Doc Martin, anything's possible. (It'll be pretty sad if one of those actors is Daryl Mitchell, since it'll imply Tommy's paralyzed as well.)
