Which label, I wonder, will do Lavagnino's GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES? Appears this will happen prior to 2016. Of course, I was talking about our German Alhambra label. But please don't expect GOLIATH before 2016 as we have - as I wrote above - two Lavagnino CDs in the pipeline before this one will be produced. But one of these two titles is now almost finished and will go to the pressing plant probably during early September.

Other news Claudio mentioned a few months ago on Facebook that Renzo Rossellini score La Donna Del Lago 1965 will be coming to Itunes. It is available now and it sounds very good indeed would love to have this on cd. As far as I know, LA DONNA DEL LAGO has already been available for at least 3-4 months on iTunes (from GDM). But unfortunately, it will therefore certainly not appear on CD anymore. This is probably the only Rossellini score from the old RCA archives (now Universal Music Publishing) which has been preserved because it was composed as late as 1965. Earlier Rossellini scores certainly don't exist there anymore. By the way, it almost seems that GDM has given up this digital download series on iTunes again as nothing has appeared anymore for almost 3 months. Maybe sales were just not as good as they had thought at first for such more unknown titles?

Have heard that Claudio has over 10,000 scores waiting to be preserved hopefully many of the best scores will get a cd release. I think Claudio needs some assistance? Probably 80 out of those 10,000 are by Carlo Savina alone ... Calling Digital Outland and all other restorers!

But before GOLIATH and ERCOLE at the moment we still have two other Lavagnino titles from 1960 and 1961 in the works at Alhambra here in Germany. One of these projects is now almost finished and I will probably announce the CD in just a few weeks. This will be a really magnificent and sumptuous Lavagnino score in stereo! Would any of these from 1960 & 1961 be from a British or French film? [such as "Conspiracy of Hearts" or "The Angel Wore Red" or "The Night They Killed Rasputin"?]

Any more peplum scores in the works? I know a lot of people would love to get their hands on THE MINOTAUR and COLOSSUS OF RHODES, among others. No label at the moment can release THE MINOTAUR or COLOSSUS OF RHODES, because quite simply no original tapes are available for them. Are you also still waiting for GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES, John? Then I can at least tell you that this score will quite certainly come on CD in the future, but it will still take a few months. Thanks! I love 'em all. Even the ones whose music I don't cotton too so much, but still love, mostly because they're from a period when I was still a kid, and loved seeing all that derring-do in ancient lands with architecture and monsters... hahahahaha. Keep 'em coming. I get all of them.

No, it's neither a British nor a French film, but one is an Italian film and the second a co-production. LA SPOSA BELLA (THE ANGEL WORE RED) was already available on a limited CAM CD in 1991: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/6699/Angel+Wore+Red,+The Nothing has been preserved of RASPUTIN. And still on the lookout for the CONSPIRACY OF HEARTS tape which unfortunately can't be found anymore in the estate.

Thank you KRONOS: My first peplum score and what a treat! I definitely would love to get some suggestions of other peplum/sci-fi Italian scores that are must owns. Good news for MCurry29 (and the rest of us! ): There's an Italian sci-fi by Trovajoli - I pianeti contro di noi (1962) - forthcoming from Beat Records.
