We are celebrating our 30th anniversary! We have two activities planned for your participating pleasure. On Saturday, September 5, from 2 pm to 4 pm, we will be hosting a reception at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles with a multitude of industry insiders including composers, studio representatives, other record labels, and more. A limited number of tickets to this event will be available to purchase on Monday, August 10, at 4 pm Pacific time (the usual announcement hour). Hopefully we don't break the internet selling these out right away! Price is $125, and includes exclusive souvenirs not available outside the event.

On Sunday, September 6, at a time to be determined, we will be having a signing event at Creature Features in Burbank. At the signing we will have a selection of titles available for purchase, but mostly it will be another way for the Intrada gang to celebrate with as many fans as possible. No tickets are needed for the signing, it will be open to as many people as can fit in the building!

Will there be a special release to mark this event?

Forgive me anyone in LA, but IMO even 10-15% sale for Intrada's fans from the rest of the world could be better.
Or something like - "order for $100-150-200 and get special CD with selected themes from our best CDs for free"...

A 20% off sale with free shipping sounds even better for all Intrada fans.

They've already said no sale, it wouldn't do me any good anyway, what would I buy? Anything I wanted I've already bought, if they release something I really want, why would I not buy it?

I'm pretty sure that there will be some kind of sale. However, such an event needs quite a lot of public planning, while the sale can basically be announced the day it starts.

I couldn't agree more.
Especially for someone like me on the other side of the world.

30% off - of course.
I would order a whole bunch of stuff.

I would buy a lot more Intrada CDs if they were 60% off, buy-one-get-one-free, with free FedEx Overnight shipping. And they would have the satisfaction of knowing that I own a lot their CDs as they wait in line at the soup kitchen.

yeah, I'm alittle confused about people requesting a sale when a label has an anniversary. It's like going to someone's birthday party and expecting them to give you the gift.

Can't believe there won't be some kind of spectacular release around the time of the anniversary. Would love to attend these events but I'm in London.

If it wasn't for their customers they wouldn't be in business to celebrate an anniversary. A sale is a way of saying thank you for supporting us.

I knew someone would say that. By that reasoning, on my birthday I should give my mother a gift.

Well it's a common thing and many companies have anniversary sales. So it's not unfounded.

someone up there overstated it to the point of hyperbolic nonsense

Companies have sales to celebrate their anniversary all the time. Why is this such an odd idea? But if you do not want a sale, by all means, go ahead and buy at full price.

big companies. Speaking for myself, the music is a kind of gift which money ordinarily cant buy, so everyone clamoring for a discount on a label's b-day seems rude.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I had the impression that the limited edition soundtrack business isn't a huge profit-maker, and quite often a project will only break even, or make a loss. As much as I like sales, I would rather support Intrada at full price and help them to keep producing gems like this weeks Broughton and Rozsa releases.

That's what I thought. They arent Amazon or a car dealership who have sales all the time (which implies they're making alot of money or prices are too high). Seems like a couple guys in an office or basement den who sometimes post here. I guess that's why I dont feel like the labels owe me anything on their anniversary.
