May she rest in peace. I worked with her years ago for a couple of weeks when she was involved in producing a stage show. All I will say is she was extremely difficult to work with.

Before certain factions leap on you for speaking ill of the dead, I have heard several reports that she was incredibly difficult to work with, so you're not alone.

But RIP Cilla.

Well theres a shock. (please no surprise surprise gags)

wasnt she discovered by that agent virtually sitting on her doorstep?

Liked her singing, more than her t.v work.
Anyone who had a heart was a storming song.
And Something tells me somethings gonna happen tonight, alfie, step inside love, youre my world, etc all classics.

And my two favourites, Love Of The Loved & It's For You (both penned by Lennon & McCartney), she was great way back in the early-mid sixties. All the sixties stars (that are left) are reaching that age.

Similar to Bill, I liked her much better as a singer than as a presenter. Neither her style nor the type of programme she fronted were my cup of tea, but there's no doubt she was a populist success. Rip.

And does anybody know "You're My World" which was covered by Helen Reddy? R.I.P. Cilla Black.

Shocked to hear of Cilla’s death. Can’t believe it! I thought that she would go on forever.

Love all her early stuff. Not the purest of voices but her delivery was terrific.

For me, Cilla is a big part of the nostalgia of the early 60’s/Beatlemania period.

Apart from her big hits, I love her version of one of my favourite Beatles songs - “For No One”.

I shall console myself by watching again the recent, excellent 3 part drama based on her early career - “Cilla”, in which Sheridan Smith was just amazing.

"Tarra, Chuck .... and Thank-You.” x
