THURSDAY, JULY 30 THE WALKING DEAD---showrunner Scott M. Gimple commented on cast additions for Season 6. Ethan Embry will play Carter, a composite character, “Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven’t hit yet or weren’t able to hit in other characters. He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy.” Merritt Weaver will play Doctor Denise Cloyd, and Corey Hawkins will play Heath. GAME OF THRONES---a new photo of Kit Harington and co-star Nathalie Emmanuel eating together in Belfast, where the series is based, increased speculation that Jon Snow will return for next season. MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.---Constance Zimmer (ENTOURAGE) will play the head of a mysterious, new government agency who is Agent Coulson's nemesis in Season 3. SUPERGIRL---Chris Browning (SONS OF ANARCHY) will play villain Reactron in the CBS series. EXORCISM: LIVE---the first televised exorcism in the US which is set in 'the original Exorcist House" in St. Louis where an exorcism was performed on "Roland Doe", the inspiration for the book and movie. Premiere is on October 30. EDGE---Amazon Western pilot from Shane Black (IRON MAN 3) based on the book series about a man who seeks revenge against his former Union army comrades and their leader, a psychopath Senator, who killed his brother. Max Martini (THE UNIT, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN) and Ryan Kwanten (TRUE BLOOD). GHOSTBUSTERS---Ivan Reitman said the only GHOSTBUSTERS movie is the all-female reboot movie and denied rumors that other spinoffs are in the works, “There has been a lot of excitement recently about what is happening with the GHOSTBUSTERS franchise. As the producer of the new GHOSTBUSTERS film, I feel the need to clarify. There is only one new GHOSTBUSTERS movie and that is the Paul Feig directed version coming next July, presently filming and going fantastically. The rest is just noise.” LITTLE WOMEN---CW series underway based on the Louis May Alcott novel in which "disparate half-sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy band together in order to survive the dystopic streets of Philadelphia and unravel a conspiracy that stretches far beyond anything they have ever imagined-all while trying not to kill each other in the process." Michael Weatherly (NCIS) is the executive producer.
