TUESDAY, JULY 28
DOCTOR WHO---Season 8's two-part season finale will be shown in 700 theaters on September 15 and 16 with tickets going on sale on July 31. The 3D showing includes a prequel scene to Season 9 and interviews with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. Wil Wheaton (STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION) will host the theatrical showing. Season 9 premieres on BBC America on September 19.
BOURNE 5---Tommy Lee Jones will play a CIA superior in the sequel. Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander and Julia Stiles also star.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---Tao Okamoto will play Mercy Graves, Lex Luthor's bodyguard and assistant.
ANT-MAN---Michael Douglas commented on a sequel, "I'm not signed up to anything more. I've learned a whole lot and would look forward to more if it comes my way, but if not, I've enjoyed the experience."
JACK REACHER 2---Christopher McQuarrie commented on why he's not returning for the sequel based on the novel NEVER GO BACK, "They needed to start, and I was [still] shooting this movie (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE-ROGUE NATION), so there was just no time to do it. And they have a really good team working on this new one. I'm very excited about it."
THE YOUNG POPE---Diane Keaton will co-star with Jude Law in the HBO miniseries.
BROOKLYN ANIMAL CONTROL---USA Network pilot underway based on the comic book about a secret NYPD unit that battles New York's werewolf population. The network also renewed BOJACK HORSEMAN for Season 3.
UNTAMED---new HBO Western series from Peter Berg (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, LONE SURVIVOR) set in the 1840s with three contrasting men embarking on a dangerous journey from Wyoming to Utah.
FULLER HOUSE---Eva La Rue (CSI: MIAMI) confirmed she's playing Danny Tanner's wife on the Netflix sequel series. Also, Netflix's Ted Sarandos commented on if Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are still not returning, “The Olsen twins are teetering whether or not they’ll be around."
