Just where ever you go, even in busy places, keep your eye out for pickpockets /muggers and dont flash the cash anywhere and dont advertise yourself.
Very applicable to anywhere popular in London ( and particularly the crowded underground ) or Barcelona. Can't speak for Munich as it's been many years since I was there but I did go to Octoberfest once and it was excellent.
