There's not enough of him on CD. I have the two-disc "How to Murder Your Wife/Lord Love a Duck." That's a good place to start. I really wish there was such a CD for "Barefoot in the Park/The Odd Couple."

Rory.......if only, I have both films on DVD and the music's utterly superb !
Duel at Diablo. It's goofy for a western score but the main theme will imprint itself on your memory.
Hefti does a clever thing in this score. The counter melody of the theme is reworked as a waltz in "Ellen's theme". My favorite cues are "Prologue" and "Fight At Diablo Pass".
"P.J.", a late '60's private eye flick from Universal. I've put this on the Intrada wish list. There's an obscure 45 RPM re-recording out there somewhere.
SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL (Film Score Monthly) - good easy listening IMO
HARLOW (DRG) - haven't heard it
SYNANON (Kritzerland) - combination of 60's jazz and pop
OH DAD, POOR DAD, MAMMA’S HUNG YOU IN THE CLOSET AND I’M FEELIN’ SO SAD / WON TON TON: THE DOG WHO SAVED HOLLYWOOD (Kritzerland) - OH DAD is bouncy pop, while WON TON TON is a 1920's pastiche

A Lyric was added and titled "When Will It End". It was recorded by Les Brown, the Clebanoff Strings and Sergio Franchi.
Sinatra's Swingin' Brass. Although uncredited, he arranged and conducted the "Sinatra-Basie" album. Great charts.
I think he is credited on my copy. Agreed, great.
This was supposed to be titled "Sinatra-Basie-Hefti" with all three pictured on the cover. There was a problem somewhere and Hefti wanted out of his contract as producer at Reprise so he made a deal where if he gave up album credit he would be released form his contract. I only know this because I knew Hefti and this was his story. If you have a copy with Hefti's credit it must be a rare one as I've never seen it. "Pennies From Heaven" is one of my favorites on the album.

Thanks! I may be incorrect, and learned of Hefti's involvement elsewhere.
