Good grief I love this sweet, deceptively simple commercial. First time I saw it , the darn thing brought a tear to my eye and now it makes me smile every time.
I love everything about it, the economy of dialogue, short and to the point, but so well written. The delivery of the kid, halting but reassuring.
The little girl, oh when she looks up with those sweet teary eyes, I just want to hug her, but that'd be kinda creepy since I'm 53 
And then, the capper, as he walks her off the bus, letting her out before him, this guy is a boss.
Yeah, I'm a old softie. I try to be gruff but loveable, but there's no way around it, I'm a marshmallow.

I guess I'm a softy too. I'm 59 and have always been this way. The first time I saw this commercial my heart went out to that poor little girl, and I cried too. And each time I see it I get tears in my eyes all over again. It is such a sweet, compassionate gesture on the little boy's part, and the little girl...I'm like you, I'd like to hug the stuffins' out of her, but not in a weird, perverted kind of way. I guess I have a weakness for damsels in distress. It's part of my softy-ness.
