Ah, I see the misunderstanding. No one can really "rescue" anyone from addiction, that has to be done on your own. But you can rescue someone from bouts of unemployment, which is what he was addressing. Sorry if my wording came off that way. Either way, as you point out, as a songwriter he is a giant. I'm sorry, my friend, I'm still being misunderstood! LOL I wasn't referring to him being rescued from addiction--I WAS referring to the notion of his career being rescued. By 2002 his career needed no rescuing--he had, by then, already begun releasing his own albums again. I was merely acknowledging that his own choice of words was according to that self-deprecating aspect of his nature that I mentioned earlier. A highly-developed graciousness, if you will. You know, I think that even if he never made another album after 1975 his important place in music was already secure.

Should I post a couple of videos?

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to attend, despite buying a ticket, due to exhaustion. But you mention videos -- do you make videos of all the cabaret evenings, dare I hope? I've been thinking that the sizzling, scintillating chanteuse Kerry O'Malley's rendition of "I Can Cook, Too," (from the previous, Bernsteins' evening), should be preserved for the ages. Zowie!

We only began doing videos a year ago, and it's not every show. We do have Kerry's but she doesn't like videos being out there. But I'll link to my You Tube channel shortly and there are a lot of Kritzerland videos there.

Here's one this group might enjoy. Flying Dreams from The Secret of NIMH, music by someone named Jerry Goldsmith, lyrics by Paul Williams. Sung by fourteen-year-old Jaidyn Young - her first time with us but I can assure you she will be back. https://youtu.be/CPaLY7gNyEg
