Star Trek, Schmar Trek.....I'm more curious about this work for MACGYVER. I was a fan of the show as a kid (not so much anymore), but there could be some good cues there. Although Ken Harrison did the superior work for the TV films.

I'm with you. I love McCarthy's work on MacGyver. I thought his main (ascending) theme for MacGyver fit so perfectly and I loved all the variations and permutations he put it through the seasons 1 to 5.
There's no singular cue for me, there are multiple cues.
In the ST: TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise", there is no bad cue. Ilove them all. For me it is one of the best episode scores to any series, cue-for-cue.
Then there are a number of strong greats from Generations, including:
Here is another favorite piece for Dennis, it's the final goodbyes sequence from the final episode of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE.
What's interesting is that this sequence starts with a reprise of this theme from the episode "The Visitor" (Which I must confess I BEGGED HIM to use in this episode) and later goes into a great montage of the characters as they prepare begin their next chapter in their lives.
Sadly, Rick Bernard torn the guts out during the dub, but is has been restored here:

I was lucky enough to be at the recording session for this episode and when they were playing this one, I must confess It bought tears to my eyes, I also was from alone.
