For those who are interested in studying scores I just got an announcement email indicating Elfman's Batman is back in stock with this note at the bottom :
"Many of you know by now that film composer James Horner passed away in a tragic accident on June 22nd. Musicians everywhere have been saddened by this news, your editor included. Sadly, this happened at a time when the next book to be released is WILLOW. James knew this was forthcoming, he even allowed me to look over his personal copy. Hopefully, this news can shed even a small amount of light in such a dark time."
Fantastic news. An exciting opportunity to study one of Horner's best works. I wish for the best for Omni Music Publishing. I own most of the score's they have released and I really look forward to more great releases!
The book covers much more ground than just what's on the album so I dunno if I'd wanna pay that much money to read along with just half the score playing.
Is this the first Omni release of a full written score for which an accompanying full recorded score is not available? If so it's kinda awesome and surprising that it happened.
If anyone can pull off a complete Willow release, it's Intrada.

No.
Batman and BTTF have their complete scores on CD, but Edward Scissorhands, The Matrix, and now Willow do not. I have no clue about Silverado's CD completeness.
It's literally the first thing in the blurb on the Intrada page about Silverado.
"Complete soundtrack from Lawrence Kasdan western with Kevin Kline, Kevin Costner. Bruce Broughton bucks then-current trend of scoring westerns with guitar twangs, whip snaps, whistlers by writing for large orchestra with added brass, percussion. (...)"
I am not sure if anyone would be willing to do this (it would involve much I guess), but over at bluray.com there are frequently group buys for BLurays that are exclusive to some shops or specific territories.
That means: One arranges a group buy for people who can't buy a certain Bluray. They all pay him by paypal, he gets the Blurays and then sends each one to the buyers.
Well The Matrix had an isolated score that was basically complete, and I thought Edward Scissorhands was complete or near to it on the Elfman/Burton box...but I don't own that so correct me if I'm wrong!
