Hmmmm. While clearly in the modern groove, if that first minute stuff is Beck's score, I kinda like what he's doing with it. It sounds like he's riffing on 90's/2000's Goldsmith to me...that could almost be Deep Rising 2!!!

Jim, have you heard Tower Heist? You'd like that. He's riffing on that big brassy 70's sound...kinda Pelham 123-like. He's a pretty versatile composer...I generally like his stuff. Oh and wait!!! You haven't seen FROZEN!!!???

Many/most of Intrada's releases, especially the major ones, usually get carried by Amazon at some point, always for Intrada's asking price (but you can use free Prime shipping, so it's still a deal). My bigger fear is that this will go digital-only. Intrada's asking price is now more expensive than their own site for their Amazon offerings.

It doesn’t get caught up in the webbing of its own science-fiction concept Translation: plot holes galore. I wonder if Edgar Wright shares the same feelings... yyyyyyyyno. Michael Peña KILLS IT – this movie is going to make him a huge star. This will? After all this time? I like the guy, but his stardom is long overdue. My old pal Judy Greer (she was Deadly Girl to my Minute Man in The Specials many moons ago) is great in a small role. Aw, dammit. /Fandango'd Many/most of Intrada's releases, especially the major ones, usually get carried by Amazon at some point, always for Intrada's asking price (but you can use free Prime shipping, so it's still a deal). Up and Avengers are CD-Rs at Amazon, though.

Let's not pretend these movies are aspiring to be Bergman or Fellini (though a few FSMers may fool themselves into thinking this). Could you tell Gunn that?

Neither of those names appear in his review, so it looks like I won't have to; he just enthused over a good time watching a movie. Some of you guys are just so tightly wound; maybe one of you could play the lead in "The Robert Ryan Story." You're clearly mistaking me for a fanwhiner. The fate of this film, or its alleged cinematic importance, doesn't concern me. However, Judy Greer does.
