Scream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director John McTiernan's film Nomads (1986), starring Lesley-Anne Down, Pierce Brosnan, and Anna Maria Monticelli. The release will be available for purchase on August 18.

I have a weird, indescribable love for this film. Sucks that, according to Intrada, tapes are lost for the score. It's not a good movie, really for lots of reasons - bad accents, that damn poster that promises efx coolness that doesn't deliver, I could go on. I really enjoy it though, it gets under my skin & I don't know why.

Conti sez the score was all improvised. And that Nugent always carried a weapon, even to coffee. Shame these tapes are lost, I'd really like a cd of this.
The Blu will do until that day, it's rather nice. Light on extras, but I don't think it's really fondly remembered by most involved....
