I did cry when Goldsmith died, but not Horner. However since Horner's death I've gone back and listened to many of his scores again, and they've brought nothing but smiles. Some bittersweet, some joyful.
Last night we watched Titanic on Blu Ray, I told Donna we need to watch something he scored. Tonight it'll be Apollo 13.
Although there IS still that sharp needle pain that we'll never hear another new epic Horner score again, listening to his music now makes me feel good, makes me really appreciate his talents and gifts, and I'm so glad, so happy that I am a fan of film music.
