Very sad he is dead.

What can one say at this moment?

Well, maybe we can celebrate his life and work.

My favorite is: KRULL!

What is yours?

Too many to mention but Wrath of Khan and Braveheart will be ones I'll listen to today.

So sad that we'll never get to hear his Avatar sequel scores.

While I think that WILLOW was his greatest score, my personal favorite has always been AN AMERICAN TAIL.

Braveheart, Titanic, Legends of the Fall, and The Land Before Time. Can't choose just one.

1. Star Trek 2 (his best score period)
2. The Land before Time (his best for animation)
3. Legend of the Fall (his best "mature" score for the oscar-worthy dramas he loved so much)
4. Sneakers (his most innovative and influential work)
5. Brainstorm (his most daring work)

These to me are the peaks.

If we are talking about themes, I would go with Rocketeer and Cocoon.

Star Trek III. It is and it always has been my favorite score.

NP: Nothing. Sorry. I can't.

Brainstorm. My first James Horner score

Field Of Dreams
Braveheart
Where The River Runs Black
Commando
Titanic
Flightplan
Unlawful Entry
The Pelican Brief
Extreme Close-Up

I haven't got a single Horner in my collection though. I used to have Field Of Dreams but looks like I have sold it.

I guess I should buy a compilation.

Braveheart
Legends of the Fall
Willow
Star Trek's 2 & 3
Glory
Avatar
Devil's Own
Patriot Games
Zorro
Titanic

Today I ordered Wolf Totem, from what I've heard of the score, it's James Horner at his best.

Star Trek III is my favorite, but there are just so many pieces and scores I love from him:

Aliens, Wrath of Khan, Gorky Park, Apollo 13, Clear and Present Danger, Brainstrom, Cocoon, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Amazing Spider-Man, The Rocketeer... I can't even.

"Star Trek III".

That score never gets enough respect.

"Aliens", "Star Trek II" and "Apollo 13" would all be runners-up for second place; the winner depending on whichever one I'm listening to at the time....
