Oscar-nominee and 10-times Emmy Award-winning composer Bruce Broughton will celebrate his 40-plus year career in Spain with a standout concert.

On 2 July, Bruce Broughton will take the stage of the Maestranza concert hall in Seville to conduct over 60 minutes of his own film scores.

The program will feature some of his most prominent works for the first time in Europe such as Heart of Darkness, Harry and the Hendersons and Lost in Space.

It will further include the World Premiere suite of Homeward Bound along with some of his theme park music, his classic Western score Tombstone as well as Young Sherlock Holmes.

Under Mr. Broughton's baton the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville will close the night with some other pieces by the likes of Jerry Goldsmith, Basil Poledouris and Hans Zimmer.

On 30 June the composer will further offer a free talk at the Cultural Center of the University of Seville.

Sounds like a very cool concert. Wish I could be there, but it's too far and expensive.

Yeah. There used to be a direct flight from Liverpool to Seville not so long ago, but the airline stopped it or moved elsewhere and I think you have to go from London now (I hate flying from London).
I'd love him to bring this concert to the UK.
I have seen him twice in concert before, so he's already on my 'ticked-off' list, but I would like to complete my hat-trick.

I've met him, but I've never seen him in concert. I'm not a HUGE fan, but I like a lot of his stuff. If the concert had been closer, and -- say -- part of a festival of some kind, I would definitely have considered it.
