Hi,
This is my first post on this forum and greetings to everyone!

I'm looking for information anyone may have regarding a German company called soundtrack-club.net.

Over a month ago I ordered a cd from them (and paid using the IBAN method, as they request) but I have not received the item and (worryingly) they are not responding to my enquiries.

There could be a perfectly reasonable explanation of course, such as problems with stock or delayed in post for whatever reason, but it's just strange that they are not responding.

Has anyone had a recent experience with this company? I see they are mentioned on older posts on this forum and that members have confirmed they are a legit company, so I am very confused by the lack of response!

If anyone has anything recent they can relate regarding the reliability of this company I would be most grateful.

Many thanks.

Not recently, no.

But this is a small outfit that has always been disorganized. I wouldn't worry too much.

The guy who's running it, Christian Krohn, has been a film music fan for decades.

I also had no dealings with them for quite some time now, but from my past experiences I can only recommend it.
The guy who's running it, is really a very kind and enthusiastic person. smile

When you can read German: in the German soundtrack-board you can find an actual discussion about this dealer. Scroll to the end of the thread. Customers waiting several months for CDs, no answers to emails. There seems to be something wrong lately.

Maybe the guy's sick or something. Another German film music lover of long standing, Jordan Jurtschak, passed away recently, too.

Do they use PayPal yet, or is it still just payment by bank transfer?

I only used them once, a few years ago, and it said PayPal coming soon.... when I visited the site probably over a year later, it still said PayPal coming soon.

That didn't inspire me with the confidence to place a second order, particularly as there was an additional fee levied when doing a bank transfer.

Yeah, I waited months for my last order too.
and have to urge them a dozen times before they actually shipped anything or responded.

No paypal. Just superexpensive bank tranfers.

Many thanks to everyone for your very fast and kind replies.
You have all put me at ease and I understand now that this is obviously a genuine company with a long-standing good reputation. So I guess I just got unlucky with my first order and I expect Christian has good reasons for not being to reply at this stage.
Merry goldsmith - many thanks for the link to the German discussion, it's 'good' to know I'm not the only one waiting on orders and gives further weight to the possibility that Christian is having issues at the moment.
the_limited_edition_2 - thanks for your reply, I also wondered if this might be a possibility, but fingers-crossed the guy is okay and will be able to respond soon.

Once again, thanks to everyone for your help!

Kind regards,
Harry

Hi Lokutus, just seen your reply. Oh well, sounds like I might have a long wait frown
But at least I should get it some time! I'll keep sending the emails! smile

(But lesson learnt here. Yeh, don't fancy doing the bank transfer fee every time, so I think I'll stay away in future until they provide the paypal option).

I am trying to wrap my head around why this kind of thing happens.

Okay, this story continues.

I finally got a reply from soundtrack-club.net (on 23/06/15) saying that my order was shipped, and a tracking number was provided.
I sent an enquiry to soundtrack-club on 8/7/15 asking for an estimated delivery date. No reply as yet and still no delivery.

The parcel is being sent from Germany to UK, and according to the two UK services that normally handle these sort of of packages (i.e. small), Royal Mail and Parcel Force, they do not have evidence of the tracking number, so I can only assume it is still yet to arrive in the UK.
If anyone can give advise on how to track this parcel outside of the UK I would be most appreciated. I quote the communication from soundtrack-club below:

"Your stuff has been collected in our warehouse. Your order was shipped yesterday, so you can expect it delivery soon. This is the tracking-number of that registered airmail letter:
RB 1161 0625 9 DE GB. Thank you for ordering at Soundtrack-Club."

I have to admit, I am rather starting to feel that I will just have to put this one down as a loss. This item was ordered on 25/04/15 frown

Many thanks for any advise.

From what you can read in the German soundtrack-board during the last days I would not try to buy again there. Their bank account is now cancelled.

Oh well. Many thanks for the information Merry.

I don't think there's any point me pursuing this one any further. Maybe it's a genuine tracking number, but I'm sure airmail doesn't take THIS long to come to the UK from Germany!!

Probably not worth me trying to get my money back either, the time and bother etc., and I'm hardly likely to get a reply from the seller.

Never mind. Such is life.

Many thanks again to everyone who replied to me on this issue.
Take care.

Well, it seems that at least something was sent under the tracking number you have provided. Try this page:

https://www.deutschepost.de/sendung/simpleQuery.html

and enter your tracking code ("RB 1161 0625 9 DE", without the GB at the end!) and the shipping date (22 Juni 2015). The site tells you the parcel was received by the Deutsche Post at this date. Nothing more. More than three weeks is very long from DE to GB, though. But we had four weeks of a strike of the Deutsche Post here in Germany which has ended last week. So I hope you still get your parcel.

If something is showing up with that tracking code, then you've got proof it's in the postal system, so you could make a claim with the applicable postal service if it gets "lost" in transit, rather than having to go back to Soundtrack Club who sound dodgy now.

That should just be a case of filling in a claim form, and waiting for repayment.

No. You need the original receipt from the post office in Germany and normal letters or small packages sent as registred airmail are just insured up to 34 EUR.

The tracking status implies that the package is still on the way from the post office to the international mail center in Frankfurt.
