Hi to all, maybe you can help me out...

any tips for modern thriller scores (2000-2015) ?

not to big (prefer without brass or so).
modern sounds, can be electronically but orchestral is ok too.

THANK a LOT!

I'm not familiar with STARRED UP, but UNDER THE SKIN suggests to me that you want something on the experimental side?

From this year, I would recommend EX MACHINA and LOST RIVER.

kind of a disappointment... I thought there were film music lovers and people with knowledge here?!?!

Thanks Thor, for helping me. The Ex Machina is perfect.

Yeah, wasn't too many who chimed in here, but could be because the parameters weren't specific enough (although that hasn't prevented people before). Perhaps if you gave a timeframe, let's say the 2000s?

Some other interesting thriller scores in the last few months that aren't "too big", driven by a combination of electronics and acoustics, and that are rather experimental in style include DARK PLACES (Gregory Tipi & BT) and ENTER THE DANGEROUS MIND (Reza Safinia).

Not really my cup of tea and there are painfully obvious temp nods to 28 DAYS LATER (and the tracked-in music from INK (2003) that popped up to wider acclaim in THE GREY (2012)), but check out THE SIGNAL (2014) as that seems to pretty-well fit the general modern thriller scoring aesthetic in the Western canon.

Yeah, THE SIGNAL is a great example of what sandor seems to be after.
