So as I am plugging through the past hour or so with miscellaneous work-related E-mail, I finally come up for air. In addition, it turns out Joshua was spinning Mr. Christopher's "Sinister" (which I have viewed some years beforehand), and it set quite well with my work load (or laundry!) at hand.

There is always a time and place for everything. (At least in my opinion.) Is there something in particular that you like to hear or spin on/off hand while doing something else?

And speaking of "laundry" -- I also love listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon when I'm in developmental mode. That goes for dish duty too big grin

Holly you may wana change your heading coz sinister dont grab enough of what youre asking.
A lot of people might miss it.

I have to have italian western stuff on long car journeys. Especially if im on my own.
Either i can immerse myself in some de masi and cipriani and fidenco and lacerenza and nicolai.
Or i bung on my italian western songs compilation cd and get singing some shocking lyrics!!
"There will come a morning...a deadly morning...the eye of the devil..will burn like the sun in the sky...
And men they will run or they'll die...!!"
terrible!!

When im writing it has to be something mellow, not too distracting.
Gentle morricone or barry or goldsmith.

Horses for courses i guess.

Here's a TEDx lecture from the famous sound recordist Will Henschall which HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TITLE ABOUT 'GETTING LAID' ....

It's really about different music soundscapes we use for tasks and which prove useful or distracting when examined experimentally:

And no, for anyone interested ... the title he chose is NOT what I was googling when I found it ....

I hear you, Mr. Carson. It's been quite a time for me since posting.

But with that in mind, I think of the "sword-and-sandal" genre, and how I (or *we*) often throw in a like score to fit the mood behind faccia a faccia.

We often use TEDx lectures in our common core resources.
