Brian is reteaming with director D.J. Caruso on the upcoming horror thriller "The Disappointments Room". Movie is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2015 by Relativity Media.
I was on set for this one for two days in North Carolina. My hands and legs are seen in a number of shots substituting the lead actor's opposite Kate Beckinsale. Fun memories.

Just listened to this one, and as big of a Brian Tyler fan as I am, it is very far from my taste. Dripping with atmosphere, for sure...dreary, melodramatic string writing with nary a synth in sight (unusual for the composer) -- something you don't get from him often these days. I do respect that it's certainly something different from him, but it's kind of a depressing listen. There are small bursts of action and a couple attractive cues ("The Kite" is lovely) but otherwise it's kind of wall-to-wall orchestral ambience to me and difficult to get through. Probably works great in the film.
It's not, however, like his score for The Killing Room, which I adore...that one is much smoother, more attractive, hypnotic, and mesmerizing. I do so love that one. It is also full of wall-to-wall orchestral ambience and can be difficult to get through given its lack of dynamic instrumentational and compositional variation, but it's more pleasantly trancelike than The Disappointments Room, which carries with it a melancholy anchor that weighs me down while listening and derives little pleasure.
