I guess posting 3 of 4 would be anticlimactic now.

(This is referring to Jaws 3-D, which someone stole from the pressing plant and tried to sell on ebay before Intrada had even announced let alone gave a clue for the title)

The other release is quite recent -- from 2013 in fact and composed by a guy who's been represented on Intrada many times. It was great to get this one out finally. I'd say it's overlooked -- but it's not as there have been continual requests for it. It's season has finally arrived!

Could the second title be Christopher Young's The Monkey King?

EDIT: No, that didn't premiere anywhere until January 2014.

Could it be James Horner's rejected Romeo and Juliet score?

I know that Season 3 of Once Upon a Time premiered in 2013, but Isham hasn't been represented on Intrada many times... twice, I think. Oh well. I am still hoping his remaining scores to that show are released.

My guess for the second title is Christopher Young's Killing Season (if i'm not mistaken it is from 2013).

Where did this backstory come from?

"season" is a clue and I'm also guessing Killing Season from Christopher Young.

Yup, for sure.

Well, that was easy.

Are we getting the Jaws scores in reverse order?

Who owns Jaws 2, is it Varese? If so, maybe they'll join in the fun like they did with the Star Trek expansions.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS owns Jaws 2 (as they do EARTHQUAKE, THE EIGER SANCTION, and DRACULA). Varese was simply the label that first put those onto CD in the 90s, after Universal did the original OSTs on LP in the 70s.

Hopefully INTRADA worked out a deal with UNIVERSAL to work on all 4 Jaws scores, but we don't know. The comments by Lukas Kendall and Neil Bulk about the leak of Jaws 3 "hurting future projects" could mean those expansions are canceled now, maybe.

The other three Williams / Universal joints I mentioned above seem to still be in the clutches of Varese, and who knows if they'll ever get around to working on them.... they should just let the rights lapse and let another label do it if they don't have time for it for a while! Those scores deserve to be in print!

Possibly, but I seriously doubt it. This situation would affect the label's entire relationship with the studio, not just a film series, and it's hard to believe that would be the case on a one-time incident involving one bad egg from a third party. Especially considering the success between the two parties who really matter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there is also an elements issue with Dracula (not sure if that's the case with Earthquake and Eiger Sanction though).

Sure, but I'd also take STRAIGHT RE-ISSUES of those three Williams scores. They deserve to be in print, in any configuration! I want them on my shelf!

Is this upcoming release of Jaws 3D identical to the previous sold out Intrada release or is there something new about it?

It's hugely expanded and (probably? I don't know score well enough to say for sure) complete, 2 disc, and featuring some bonus tracks.

I'm psyched for Jaws 3-D, myself. I got into the hobby too late to pick up Intrada's last release of it, and I've always resisted the temptation to buy it off eBay for inflated prices (which got even stronger after picking up Jaws: The Revenge recently). Glad now that I didn't give in!

I hope they're working their way back through the series, and we get the first two eventually.

I missed the recent controversy...

However if it is JAWS 3-D then WOO-HOO! I adore this score and the music was significantly reworked for the MCA LP (and later Intrada reissue). If it includes a re-issue of the original album too then BONUS.

Might have been more of a comment to curtail discussion on here.

I agree, a leak by an unscrupulous employee at the manufacturing plant could happen with any record company's releases, and shouldn't really have repercussions with the label putting the title together in the first place as it's not their fault.
